This single-sheave snatch block helps guide steel wire rope in lifting and pulling systems. Its opening side plate simplifies rope installation, while the swivel hook helps position the block within the rigging arrangement.
The Snatch Block with Swivel Hook combines a forged hook, steel side plates and a grooved sheave in a compact assembly. Operators can open the side plate to place a steel wire rope onto the sheave without threading the rope through the entire block. The hook swivels to help align the connection during setup.
The reference design features a cast sheave with a flame-hardened groove to resist wear at the rope contact surface. A blue painted finish helps protect exposed surfaces. Depending on the confirmed product specification, material options may include carbon steel, malleable iron or AISI 304/316 stainless steel.
The single-sheave design suits appropriate crane, lifting-platform and other industrial rigging applications. Before use, confirm the block’s marked capacity, compatible wire rope diameter and connection requirements against its technical documents.

Rigging hardware: ASME B30.26 provides a relevant reference for rigging blocks, including their use, inspection and maintenance. Confirm the applicable edition and product requirements before making a compliance claim.
Wire rope inspection: ISO 4309:2017 provides guidance for the care, maintenance, inspection and discard of steel wire ropes used on cranes, winches and hoists. Check rope compatibility within the complete lifting system.
Product verification: Check the rated capacity, hook and swivel movement, side-plate closure, sheave rotation, groove dimensions and rope compatibility against the approved product drawing. State proof-load results, traceability or certification only when supporting TOPONE records are available.
Maintenance: Inspect the hook, side plates, pin, sheave and rope groove before use. Remove the block from service if you find cracks, deformation, excessive wear or restricted movement. Lubricate moving parts according to the product instructions.
