TOPONE Grade 80 Stainless Steel Lifting Chain combines high load capacity with corrosion resistance for demanding lifting environments. The short-link chain is available in diameters from 5 mm to 13 mm, with single-leg Working Load Limits from 0.80 t to 5.30 t. Its blasted stainless steel surface requires no paint, galvanizing or protective coating.
Grade 80 Stainless Steel Lifting Chain provides greater lifting capacity than Grade 60 stainless steel chain of comparable nominal dimensions. In suitable applications, users can select a smaller chain diameter to reduce sling weight and improve handling in confined spaces.
The chain is manufactured from selected high-strength stainless steel and provides corrosion resistance without relying on paint, zinc plating or another protective coating. It suits lifting work in food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical plants, wastewater facilities, clean production areas, marine environments and other locations where ordinary carbon steel chain may corrode or contaminate surrounding equipment.
The chain can be supplied as cut lengths or assembled into one-, two-, three- or four-leg lifting slings using compatible Grade 80 stainless steel components.

The listed WLL applies only to a straight, vertical, single-leg configuration under normal rated conditions. Do not multiply the single-leg WLL directly by the number of sling legs. Sling angle, load symmetry, operating temperature and environmental conditions affect the permitted assembly capacity.
The identification tag and certificate supplied with the finished chain sling take priority over any general product table.
Higher Capacity at the Same Diameter
Grade 80 stainless steel chain offers a higher WLL than Grade 60 stainless steel chain with comparable dimensions.

The higher capacity may allow a smaller chain size to replace the next larger Grade 60 chain after a qualified lifting assessment. This reduces sling weight and makes manual handling easier.
Corrosion Resistance Without a Coating
The chain obtains its corrosion resistance from the stainless steel itself. It does not require paint, galvanizing or a plastic coating that may wear, peel or contaminate a clean working area.
Suitable for Confined Lifting Areas
A smaller nominal diameter can provide more clearance around lifting points, narrow openings and compact machinery. Users must still verify hook seating, component compatibility and the complete sling WLL.
Clean and Inspectable Surface
The blasted surface exposes the condition of the base metal and avoids damaged paint hiding corrosion or wear. Stainless steel also reduces the risk of red-rust contamination on clean equipment.
Grade 80 stainless steel chain may be used in:

The completed assembly must use compatible stainless steel master links, connecting links, shortening devices and hooks. The lowest-rated component determines the WLL of the entire sling.
For multi-leg assemblies, select the WLL from the applicable EN 818-4 sling table according to the angle of each leg from the vertical. Never rate a sling only by adding the capacities of its individual legs.
The chain geometry is similar to the dimensional principles of DIN 5687 and EN 818-2 for Grade 8 medium-tolerance lifting chain.
EN 818-1 or ISO 1834 may provide the general acceptance requirements for electrically welded short-link lifting chain when specified in the purchase order and confirmed by the product certificate.
“Similar to EN 818-2” describes a design and dimensional reference. It must not be changed to “EN 818-2 certified” unless TOPONE has completed the required conformity testing and provides supporting certification.
Completed Grade 80 chain sling assemblies may be manufactured and rated according to EN 818-4. The standard covers single-, two-, three-, four-leg and endless Grade 8 chain slings.
Compatible Grade 80 hooks, master links and connecting components should meet the applicable parts of EN 1677. Every finished sling must be rated according to its weakest component.
EN 818-5 does not apply because it covers Grade 4 chain slings.

The minimum breaking force must be at least four times the stated WLL when applying a 4:1 design factor.
A completed chain sling should carry an individual identification tag showing its grade, chain diameter, number of legs, WLL, angle range, serial or traceability number and manufacturer identification.
