Chain Hoist Solution

Factory and Manufacturing Applications

Factories lift motors, molds, pumps, machine frames and assemblies during production-line installation, maintenance and changeovers. Limited floor space and crane travel make fixed-point or beam-mounted chain hoists useful for controlled vertical lifting. The hoist, supporting structure and lifting accessories must be selected as one system.

Typical Applications

Production line installation
Machine maintenance
Mold replacement
Motor and pump handling
Equipment positioning
Assembly workshop lifting

Manual or Electric Chain Hoist

Manual chain blocks suit occasional lifts, maintenance and locations without a convenient power supply. Operating effort, lift height and frequency must still match the task.

Electric chain hoists suit repeated production lifting with a verified power supply. Selection must consider capacity, speed, lift height, duty rating, voltage, controls, braking and load-chain falls. Capacity alone does not prove suitability for a high-frequency cycle.

Fixed Suspension and Beam Travel

A stationary hoist can serve one engineered workstation. A compatible push, geared or powered trolley allows travel between work positions.

The beam, trolley, clamp, suspension and fasteners must carry the hoist, load and imposed forces. System capacity is limited by the lowest-rated element.

Confirm beam profile, flange width, end stops, travel clearance and hook approach before installation. Never suspend a hoist from an unverified structural member.

Verified TOPONE Product Examples

TOPONE HSZ-T1 manual chain block:

Rated capacity: 1 t
Standard lift: 2.5 m
Test load: 1.5 t
Minimum distance between hooks: 306 mm
Hand-chain pull at full load: 304 N
Load chain: 6 mm, one fall
Net weight: 10 kg

TOPONE HHBB-1.0A electric chain hoist:

Rated capacity: 1 t
Standard lift: 3 m
Motor power: 1.5 kW
Lifting speed: 6.8 m/min
Load chain: 7.1 mm, one fall
Net weight: 59 kg

These figures apply only to the stated catalog models. They do not establish another model's duty class, voltage, protection grade or special-environment approval.

Hoist Chain Selection

Hoist load chain is not interchangeable with chain-sling chain. Diameter, pitch, link width, dimensional tolerance and heat treatment must match the load wheel and chain guide. An incorrect chain can seat poorly, accelerate wear or jam the mechanism.

EN 818-7 and ISO 3077 cover fine-tolerance Grade T hoist chain for manual and power-driven hoists. EN 818-7 distinguishes T, DAT and DT. DAT and DT have case-hardened surfaces for power-driven hoists, while DT has higher surface hardness or case depth than DAT.

Replacement chain must follow the exact hoist-manufacturer specification and must not be repaired by welding links.

Load Connection and Positioning

Connect motors, molds and machines only through rated lifting points. Covers, shafts, guards, piping and unverified holes are not lifting points. Keep the load line vertical; side pulling can misload the hook, chain guide, trolley and beam.

Irregular loads may require a rated sling or lifting beam. Two hoists operating on one load can share force unevenly if their movements differ. Such lifts require a coordinated plan based on the centre of gravity and every component rating.

Materials and Construction

TOPONE describes its manual chain blocks as using high-grade alloy-steel load chain, galvanized hand chain and a brake-disc system. Hooks are described as forged and professionally heat treated. These features do not replace model-specific inspection and testing.

Inspection and Control

Before use, check capacity marking, suspension, trolley, hooks, latches, brake response, controls, limit devices, load chain and correct reeving.

Twisted, stretched, corroded, cracked or abnormally worn chain, damaged hooks, brake faults or irregular chain-wheel operation require removal from service.

Do not overload, shock load, side pull, lift people, operate twisted chain or use a limit device as a routine stop. Inspection and maintenance intervals must follow duty, environment, manufacturer instructions and applicable rules.

TOPONE Solution

TOPONE can match manual or electric chain hoists with the required capacity, lift height, suspension and travel method for factory workstations. Final selection must use documented operating cycles, supporting-structure capacity and approved lifting procedures.
